Wastewater
Clarifications™: pH Course Objective: The objective of this course is for students to learn everything they ever wanted to know about pH, but were afraid to ask. |
|||||
| Course
Contents: Virtual lectures and
hands-on activities are set up in a series of seven
assignments to enable students to learn how to correctly conduct pH testing.
Students will attend a virtual lecture on the pH procedure
which includes a series of questions and answers covering the major
steps involved in the procedure. Students will then be guided
through pH averaging, a very interesting process that outlines why
averaging is rarely accurate and is not appropriate for
most purposes.
Troubleshooting is also covered. Students will be shown the most common errors made when conducting the pH test, and will be provided with pointers to avoid making these errors. Students will also be given useful checklists to use when conducting their own self-audit of pH procedures. |
