WE MAY NEED ADDITIONAL INFORMATION TO USE IN REPORTING TO THE STATE/ORGANIZATION
In the case of courses for credit, we must often require additional information in order to ensure that credits are awarded to students that take our courses. In most cases, operators will be required to provide:
See your specific State or Organizations accreditation summary at www.environmental-training.com/accreditation/accreditation.htm to determine which information is required. If additional information is required by your State or organization, you will have an opportunity to e-mail us this information once you are enrolled in a course.
BE AWARE OF THE OBLIGATIONS WHEN TAKING COURSES FOR CREDIT!
Courses for credit come with certain obligations. In some cases, the approval of our courses through States have been contingent upon the specifications set out by that State. A summary of these specifications can be found at
www.environmental-training.com/accreditation/accreditation.htm
for each State.
Further, students should be aware that our online system tracks student time and course file access. If students are simply browsing and flipping through the course at a rapid pace rather than completing the assignments, we are aware of such. In order to ensure that States and Organizations continue to have confidence in our distance learning approach as effective training tools, WE MUST NOTIFY THE APPROPRIATE STATE OR ORGANIZATION OF ABUSES OF THE SYSTEM.
We therefore are informing you in advance that failure to complete the assignments as intended and failure to dedicate the appropriate time toward completion of the course can result in forfeiture of CEUs and training hours. Please complete the assignments to the best of your ability to ensure that your
State honors your training
hours/CEUs.
A SUMMARY OF OUR POLICY
It is our policy that students taking courses for credit for a specific State, regardless of which organization or State that they plan to apply to for credit, must comply with certain requirements including:
It is our policy that we will provide oversight to review students compliance with student requirements. This includes, at a minimum, the following:
It is our policy that where our evaluations find failures by students to meet our policies, specific responses will result.
REMEMBER TO COMPLETE THE COURSE, AND SUBMIT THE APPLICABLE ASSIGNMENTS, TEST, AND COURSE EVALUATION.
It is our company policy that you must complete the course in order to receive a
certificate of completion. This means that you must complete all the reading, answers all the
questions in writing, submit assignments with appropriate answers where
specified, pass the test, and complete the evaluation.
We want to particularly call your attention to three items which must be
submitted: certain assignments, the test, and the evaluation form. First,
there are assignments integrated throughout the course which require you to fill
in the answers and submit the answers to us for review and evaluation. You can
accomplish these while online: simply fill in all of the blanks, and submit the
answers by pushing the appropriate "Submit" button.
If specified in the accreditation information, the course test must be completed
when specified by the State and, generally, a passing score must be achieved in
order to pass the course and receive credit for the course. In the absence of
State specifications, our company policy is that 60% must be correct to pass.
The test is also taken online and the instructions are very explicit.
Follow them closely and understand them prior attempting the test.
Finally, you must complete and submit the course evaluation when you have
completed the course. Please do not submit the course evaluation until you
have completed all assignments and the test (if applicable). Once we
receive your course evaluation form signifying that you have completed the
course, we will begin procedures to prepare your course certificate. Allow
17 working days to receive the certificate.
WHAT HAPPENS IF PROBLEMS ARISE?
The convenience of distance learning does require oversight to this extent to ensure that your learning experience and the future learning experiences of others are not compromised.
Should problems arise, we will always notify you and discuss such with you. Together, we should be able to satisfactorily resolve any problems. Only if problems remain unresolved would we be forced to escalate the matter and bring it to the attention of the State/Organization for guidance. We have never yet had to bring such a matter to the attention of a State or Organization and hope that our ability to satisfactorily resolve problems and clarify obligations will continue.
There are always extenuating circumstances that must be considered. However, by making you aware of our commitments to the States and Organizations that rely on our courses to teach certain principles and achieve certain goals, we believe that you will be more understanding of the requirements to fully complete the course in which you are enrolled.
WE HOPE YOUR LEARNING EXPERIENCE WILL BE AN ENJOYABLE ONE
