Training for Water Treatment Plant (WTP) Operators and Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) Operators
Specification State Requirements
Training requirements for WTP and WWTP operators As of 2000:  You must earn 1 CEU for a grade I or II certificate and 2 CEUs for a grade III or IV certificate. CEUs must be earned during the two year period beginning April 1 and ending March 31 of every odd numbered year.
Coursework approval As of 2000:  CECs must be approved by an accredited college, university, technical institute, issuing agency or DNR. Continuing education credit must be related to the subject matter of the certificate to which the credit is being applied.
Test completion As of 2000:  Not specified.
Certificate of course completion As of 2000:  Course sponsors are required to report the names and social security numbers of those attending training sessions.
