Learn EPCRA Reporting Requirements

Time Commitment: 12-20 hours
Level: Beginner to Intermediate Course
Cost: $179.00

Course Objective: The objective of this course is for students to learn the EPCRA reporting requirements including emergency planning, emergency release notification, community right-to-know reporting, and toxic release inventory reporting.

Course Contents: Virtual lectures and hands-on activities are set up in a series of seven assignments to teach students the federal EPCRA reporting requirements applicable to many small and large manufacturing businesses.

Regulations are complicated. And, they become more complicated and more demanding as facilities grow and have more chemicals stored on site, or use more chemicals in their manufacturing processes. It is important for even those businesses that historically have minimal releases to the environment to be aware of their potential to be subject to regulations due to chemical storage and use.   Ultimately, learning EPCRA reporting requirements is important to ensure that regulations are complied with and that non-compliance does not inadvertently subject a facility to enforcement activities.

Students will receive valuable guidance materials, regulations, tables which organize the confusing regulations, and checklists for use in evaluating facility compliance. They will also be provided with clarifications of confusing issues and other helpful guidance.

Learning on-line is fun due to our hands-on activities and virtual industry exercises. Take this Course and Complete the Hands-On Assignments, and
YOU WILL LEARN!

Course Limitations: This course does not cover state-specific regulations. In order for States to have "approved" regulatory programs, their regulations must be at least as stringent as the federal regulations. Many state environmental regulations simply mirror those of the EPA. However, some states have requirements which go beyond that of the federal regulations. This course does not include the possible additional requirements set forth in State regulations but links to state environmental agencies are provided in order to contact State environmental agencies and determine additional requirements.
