| Training for Water Treatment Plant (WTP) Operators and Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) Operators | |
| Specification | State Requirements |
| Training requirements for WTP and WWTP operators | Every 3 years, operators must complete 21 hours of approved training for each license renewal. Training must be in the area of the license. |
| Coursework approval | Courses must be approved through the State. |
| Course completion and test completion | Operators must complete course, and must pass test where 70% correct is considered passing. Check out student obligations when taking courses for credit for more information. |
| Certificate of course completion | Certificate of completion must be provided by training organization
to the operator and State and
must include the number of hours awarded,
State assigned course numbers, and the operator's Social Security Number.
If the course is designated for more than one area (e.g., Water
Treatment, Collection), the designation for the area must also be
indicated.
Operators must thus include their social security number and the area (e.g., Water Treatment, Collection) for which they are requesting that this training apply. |
